Ganesh Visarjan a major festival in Mumbai. People from all caste and societies celebrate this Mega Festival. Lord Ganesha's Idol, which is kept for ten days is immersed in the sea on the tenth day of the festival. MARS assists Government and non Government agencies by providing the communication link they all require.
HAMS are stationed at the Police Department, First Aid tent, Life Guard Towers and various other points along the path of the procession in the following manner
1. Keeps track of all the Ganpati Idols movement (Traffic at choke points).
2. Works in co-ordination with the Life Guards (Tower & Speed boats).
3. Co-ordinates with the First Aid Camp at Chowpatty & Ambulances.
4. Co-ordinates with the Police for lost and found cases.
Last year MARS managed to help with more 50 lost and found cases and help with 7 medical emergencies in the early morning hours.
