Mumbai Amateur Radio Society regrets the going of silent key of its Founder Life Member VU3MHC Late Minoo Contractor on 10/05/2008

On 7th August 2000 a group of 25 active Hams launched a new Amateur Radio Club known as "MUMBAI AMATEUR RADIO SOCIETY".

The main objective of the Society is to conduct Activities such as Ham Radio awareness Programs, Communications Support during Ganesh Visarjan, Disaster Communication and many more activities in order to promote Amateur Radio.

M.A.R.S has its own team of trained HAMS to tackle disasters. This team can mobilise at very short notice, they can reach the disaster location and provide Vital communication network. M.A.R.S provided communication support during Gujurat Earthquake Disaster.
 
M.A.R.S is a registered Society and a registered Public Trust. M.A.R.S is also registered under 80 G of Income Tax act.
